Once the need for it no longer — just remove the program from the list of exceptions. And, of course , never allow unknown program to pass through the firewall. To switch to work with a list of exceptions , you need the left side of the firewall Windows ( see Fig. 8.1) click on the link Allow a program or feature through the firewall Windows. As a result, the screen will display the window shown in Fig. 8.3. Fig . 8.3. Creating a list of exceptions By default, this box already contains a specific list of programs that will be ignored by the firewall. To add to the list of exceptions to another program , click Allow another program . When you press the button on the screen will be displayed , as shown in Fig. 8.4. Fig . 8.4. Selecting a program to add to the list of exceptions This window contains a list of installed programs . To add an application to the exception list , select it then click and click Add. If you have not found in the list of desired program (in particular, it can be a program that does not require installation ) — You can try to find it yourself. To do this, click the Browse button in the dialog box , specify the path to the executable file of the target application , and then click OK . Use the Types of network arrangements can immediately specify what types of network arrangements must include the selected application (ie, home , work or public network ) . When you click on the screen , a window opens in which using the appropriate checkboxes are selected types of network arrangements . Note that this information can then be changed directly in the list of exceptions (see Fig. 8.3). After you add the program to the exceptions list checkbox must be checked , which is located to the left of its name — only in this case, the firewall will allow this program to work . If this box is removed, the program will remain in the list of exceptions , but it is blocked. In other words, using this flag you can enable / disable blocking for each program in the exception list .
